The most popular programming languages in 2020 from the point of view of “StackOverflow”

The Stack Overflow website conducts an annual survey of developers to identify the most popular programming languages, and nearly 65,000 developers took part in its latest survey.

The poll was conducted earlier this year before the outbreak of the Coronavirus, and the results have now been made public. According to the survey, the “Rust” programming language is known as the most popular language among professional developers, although many developers are not very familiar with this language.

Rust promises performance, control, memory security and synchronization to developers, which is of great importance in systems programming. The language also provides some interesting features, such as the ability to add clean, uncluttered macros to the original code. These, together with the open-source development process, have led developers to refer to it as the most popular programming language.

Last year, the Python and TypeScript scripting languages came in second with the same popularity, but this year Python’s popularity has dropped to third. The difference in popularity between these programming languages is 0.4 percent, however, the important issue is the defeat of Python by TypeScript.

One of the reasons for the increase in the popularity of typewriting is related to the increase in Microsoft activities in open source projects. The ability to gradually adopt this programming language offers many benefits to developers without compromising their project.

Ranked fourth is Kotlin. This language allows developers to develop Android applications faster and more efficiently. The language is similar to Java, except that it gives the programmer a modern look and also requires less code to be written. Kotlin developers earn an average of $ 130,000 a year in the United States.

The next place is taken by “Go” programming language. The language was developed by Google engineers in 2007 and launched in 2009. Go is modeled on the old C programming language and is used to produce simple and reliable software. This language is used in many Google production systems.

In sixth place is the “Julia” programming language, which is a dynamic, fast, and high-level language used for scientific and numerical computing. This language can be used for data science, machine learning and more.

Dart, developed by Google, ranks seventh, allowing developers to build powerful applications at high speeds that can be used on all platforms. The language has experienced high growth among developers in recent months.

The next positions are C #, Swift and JavaScript, respectively. Swift was introduced by Apple in 2014 and has been very popular with developers ever since. This language simplifies the process of developing iOS applications and can also be used for artificial intelligence applications.
